WAKE FOREST NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER | BLACK AND WHITE LIFESTYLE SESSION AT HOME | BABY COOPER

hello to 2019!

Hello friends… we meet again! Not gonna lie, the past 3 months have been an absolute BLUR. Photographing gorgeous weddings, beautiful families, and SO. MANY. NEWBORNS. So squishy, eeeeeeek!!!!

I decided to start off the year with a newborn post… it felt just like the right thing to do, you know? Symbolism of starting afresh and new and all that jazz… you get me.

I met this family through some amazing clients of mine and we did a maternity/newborn package, just one of the new features I’m adding to “The List” this year. Their maternity pics were GORGEOUS, as Nicole wore a beautiful cranberry dress with a matching flower crown and we traipsed through the woods like a woodland fairytale. Her and her husband Jeff laughed and shared their story and it was amazing getting to know them. Aren’t they gorgeous?

When baby Cooper was born, it was a DREAM session! We took pictures in the nursery, we snuggled in bed, the pup came out as well… it was amazing. Cooper took pictures with stuffed animals from his parent’s childhood and an adorable outfit that made him look like the Disney character Stitch.

why is this session in black and white?

While I gave Nicole and Jeff both colored and black and white versions of these photos, this was the FIRST session EVER that I knew I just had to share all the black and whites. There is a special place in my heart for black and white photography… it shows the true emotions and lets me see the details even MORE. Your eye, instead of being focused on bright colors, is focused more on the composition and the details of what’s actually being photographed. And I loved it on this session, SO DAMN MUCH.

So friends, enjoy the cuteness that is Cooper and his parents. I promise you, many more awesome blog posts are to follow… I have SO MANY WEDDINGS to share, as well as family sessions and finally… my trip to ITALY! I’ll get to writing about it someday… ;) Cheers!
