Guys... get ready for this story. It's a good one.
Back at the beginning of May, my friend and fellow photog Courtney asked me to do a family session for her. It was her, her husband Chris, and their adorable 2 kiddos. Of course I jumped at the chance, and of course we scheduled it at Blue Jay Park, one of my all-time favorite places EVER. We scheduled it for Mother's Day Evening, an absolutely perfect day for kiddos to squish up and love on Mom.
A week or so passed and I got a message from Courtney... she found out that morning she was PREGNANT with number three!!! And she wanted to tell Chris DURING the photo session!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Seriously. My heart grew three sizes in an instant.
Anyone who knows me deeply enough knows I wanted to have a large family. The thought of three kids seems like heaven to me, but it's just not meant to be for our family. And I'm ok with that... now I get to share in other people's joy! So it was no surprise that on the way to their session that night, I bawled the entire car ride. I was SO EXCITED for Chris to find out, that I totally lost it in the car. I pulled myself together luckily by the time I got there.... and promptly lost it again when Chris found out near the end of our session.
It's moments like these that make me feel so grateful and thankful for this life I've got. So darn lucky.
Courtney and Chris, I'm so glad I am FINALLY able to share your good news!!! You are just the sweetest family, congratulations on the new little one!! All three of your kiddos are super ridiculously lucky to have you both as parents.
