CARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | CHATHAM STATION | MOLLY & BRIAN

playing catch-up

Ya’ll. This blog has been sitting in draft form for over a year. OVER A YEAR!!!

Let that sink in.

But before I start berating myself for neglecting this poor blog, let’s just jump right in and talk about this absolutely gorgeous wedding in Cary that was the most lovely finale for the height of the summer wedding season back in 2019!

Molly and Brian were married on September 15, 2019 at Chatham Station, planned by Sweet Sarabelle. Have you seen this venue? It is a stunning space with an open floor plan perfect for an indoor/outdoor event. And the proximity of the Page Walker Arts & History Center across the street was excellent for the first look photos and family portraits!

Catering of main eats was provided by City Barbeque. Their cake was made by Once in a Blue Moon bakery, just a short walk through downtown Cary’s Chatham Street in Ashworth’s Village. There were also assorted cupcakes from Apex High School’s cafe!

an event full of personal touches

There are so many special details about this wedding.

Sadly, neither of Brian’s parents are with us but their memories were included by attaching charms of their photos to two bouquets held by Brian’s aunts during the ceremony. It was a beautiful and thoughtful way to commemorate their love. Later, in a heartfelt gesture halfway through the father-daughter dance, Brian asked his new mother in law to dance with him.

Molly tied her family history into the ceremony too. The fan on the backdrop was first carried by Molly’s grandmother in her college graduation in 1910. Subsequently, it was also carried in the weddings of her grandmother, mother, and sister. Additionally, Molly’s veil was handmade by her great grandmother, grandmother, and mother for her mother’s wedding in 1973. It has also been part of other family weddings.

You can see from some of the group photos below that this is a tight knit bunch of friends. They have quite a sense of humor and call themselves the The Duggars because the group just keeps getting bigger. One of these friends was actually the officiant of the wedding!

game day

But that’s not all… During the reception, I noticed some of their best friends cheering and came to find the Clemson football game being broadcast on an iPhone. Molly is apparently their good luck charm!

dancing with the stars

This was a wedding bursting with love that crowned with the bride and groom dancing under the stars and strings of lights on the patio. It was such a romantic ending to a beautiful day.

Congratulations again, Molly & Brian!!! I wish you a world of happiness and many many many more nights of laughter and dreamy twilight dances.

And dear blog… get ready. For you will be getting filled again in the days to come!
