This super strong and multi-talented young woman is Alyssa. Alyssa became bat mitzvah in February 2020. We made some of her portraits at Temple Beth Or and most of the extended family portraits at her reception site: the very lovely Wakefield Plantation.
Alyssa is an accomplished gymnast, so the theme for her party was “Flip Fest.” How fun is that?! There was a balance beam for the kids to play on and it proved to be a great prop for photos. She had a really creative cartwheel cake for dessert. There were gymnastics themed names for each table and the centerpieces were trophies with ribbons. And, it probably won’t surprise you, but this celebration included so. much. dancing. DJ Damien Maas and the dancers kept everyone moving the whole time. Don’t miss the party pics. There were lots of the fun games you usually see at Mitzvahs, and at one point everyone was doing splits and other gymnasium activities.
At the end of the day, everyone got a special commemorative t-shirt that said, “Alyssa’s Flip Fest” on it. So. Fun!
