RALEIGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | FOREST HALL AT CHATHAM MILLS | MATT AND KAT

next up on the blog of awesome…

… is Matt and Kat’s AMAZINGLY chill and gorgeous wedding this past October!

I met up with these two for beer one night so I could introduce myself, show them my kind of crazy, and hopefully they’d like me. Well, beer turned into dinner and we just chatted and laughed about our mutual love of hockey and the fact that Matt looks EXACTLY like my ex boyfriend. Like… exactly. It’s freaky. We got some free beer glasses, had a great time, and now they’re stuck with me. Muaahahahahahaha…. Anywho, we met up at the Raleigh Rose Garden for their engagement pictures… which were AMAZING… and had the BEST time! So much fun, and you can check out their engagement session here if you like! I could not wait for their wedding… and it did not disappoint!

october 7th, 2018

This was the day we had all been waiting for, and let me tell you… it was amazing! Their ceremony had everyone laughing AND crying happy tears… myself included, I kid you not. Here are some of the amazing details:

  • Their venue, Forest Hall at Chatham Mills, was gorgeous. It’s like rustic meets industrial meets outdoor gorgeousness and I want to go back again and again and again. Seriously… I’m there!

  • Aneesa from Harmony Weddings and Events was their planner and running the show and boy was she detailed! If I needed anything, she was right there. If the bride and groom needed anything, she was right there. She brought out food during bridal party pictures, brought me water as I was sweating buckets outside, she was the BEST!

  • The space was decked out with gorgeous florals from one of my favs, Fallon’s Flowers. Between the cake, the arbor, the boutonnieres and bouquets, their mix of greenery with red and white was gorgeous!

  • All the bridesmaids wore a maroon dress with gold sparkle shoes, and their sparkle matched their personalities! The BEST bridesmaids, making Kat a scrapbook to look at before the ceremony and providing bubbly and snacks to keep the awesome going all day long!

  • Kat’s gorgeous dress from David’s Bridal was filled with lace and bling, and included a family butterfly pin.

  • CE Rentals provided gold plates, candles, and all sorts of autumn touches to the space. One thing that Matt provided though was a set of silver candlesticks that his Grandma had at her wedding!

  • The food was DELISH. City BBQ outdid themselves with flavor, while Edible Art Bakery provided a gorgeous cake and Vintage Follies provided the vintage bus turned bar… it was awesome working with all of them yet again!

  • Their wedding favors… were bottles of water and aspirin! They knew the night was going to be ROCKING!

  • And it was rocking ALL NIGHT thanks to Dow Oak Events! They did a great job with the tunage, even playing hava nagila for Matt and Kat!

  • I also couldn’t have done it without the help of my girl Candice second shooting for me… thanks friend!

matt and kathryn, congrats to you both!!!!
