RALEIGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | MARKET HALL | CAROLINE & NICK

This was the first spring wedding of 2021 for Rose Trail Images! And what an amazing way to dive back into regular wedding season after the unbelievable weight of the pandemic. Let’s get into all the special details that brought such personal twists to modern romantic vibes…

Caroline and Nick! They actually live near the coast, in Wilmington, North Carolina. But they chose to get married at Market Hall in Raleigh because they met while in college at NC State. Nick proposed to Caroline on a walk over Thanksgiving 2019. So sweet!!!

Their wedding day was organized by Harmony Weddings and Events and included a completely dance-worthy band, Irresistible Groove (see reception photos at the end of this post).

To start, Caroline had picture frame charms tied to her bouquet with images of her father and grandfather, who sadly are no longer with us. It was her way of including them in her special day. She also attached a small blue pendant to represent something blue. Additionally, the bride’s uncle (and godfather) was the officiant.

Nick had his grandfather’s handkerchief for the wedding. And a good thing, too, as you’ll see when you scroll down to the first look. Often, and understandably, a joyfully overwhelming moment on any wedding day, the first look can almost reliably prompt a few tears.

For the reception, the sweetheart table included special glasses that have been used for many weddings in Caroline’s family. Her mom, aunt and uncle, grandmother and grandfather all used these same glasses. It was a subtle and charming way to incorporate familial tradition into the otherwise modern event. Caroline also had an elegant clutch to hold her phone and other necessities made out of her mother’s wedding dress. How creative is that???

The entire day was just SO MUCH FUN! Congratulations, Caroline and Nick!!!
