RALEIGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | THE GLASS BOX AND THE STOCKROOM AT 230 | SUSAN AND BRITTANY

How romantic is that rooftop moment??? This wedding is so full of love. I can’t wait to share it with you!

Susan and Brittany!!! Where do I start? Maybe with their engagement session! All of my couples get a complimentary lifestyle engagement shoot. Susan and Brittany had their first date at Raleigh Brewing and Brittany proposed to Susan at the WRAL Azalea Gardens, so naturally their engagement session had two locations. Here is just a quick peek at that super fun day:

Okay, so fast forward a few months to November. And here we are at The Glass Box! Have you been there? It’s amazing! With a rooftop deck! And the floor to ceiling windows! So modern and chic!

These brides definitely know how to set a contemporary tone!

That includes gracefully rolling with any mishaps that come your way. Susan’s dad and brother-in-law were both horribly sick on the day of the wedding and almost didn’t make it. And this was PRE covid! Such a bummer. They both rallied themselves to the venue for the portraits and through the ceremony, but went right back to the hotel after, poor guys! You’ll see a picture with the father of the bride laying down on a chaise at The Glass Box. Susan was planning to have a first look with her dad, but he surprised her getting off the elevator and we missed it! She did do a first look with her mom. The mother of the bride also walked her down the aisle and danced with her during the traditional father-daughter dance.

I also want to mention a few of the stand out planning details… Susan and Brittany had lots of personal touches throughout their day.

There was a short prayer circle right before everyone went down to the ceremony, where they were married by three people! Hannah, Judson, and Jason. How fantastic is that!

The couple is allergic to florals, so they opted for artificial flowers in their bouquets -which they handmade themselves!

And, drumroll please, Susan’s mom made the cake! It’s so fun! With the crumbs coating the sides. And poofs of icing on top. She did such a great job! And what fun they had with the first slice! (Don’t miss that section when you scroll through the photos!)

Really, they radiated happiness all day long and I’m so excited for how these photos represent their day! It was full of personality right up to the glow stick sendoff!

I’m so happy for these two… not only were they amazing clients, but they have turned out to be really close friends! I love them soooo much!
