Meet the Chesson's! Cassie had contacted me a month or so ago to do a mini session for her sweet family. They live in Alexandria, Virginia and were coming down in February to visit her family for her Dad's birthday and was wondering if I would be around. I had taken their friends' Christmas photos and they loved my style... eeeeek! I got so excited! Unfortunately, I was in Hilton Head for MY Dad's birthday... what are the odds? The Chesson's ended up staying a day later anyway, so after my traffic-ridden 6-hour car drive (with no coffee, I might add) I still got to meet up with them at Horseshoe Nature Park in Wake Forest, one of my absolute FAVORITE places for photos!!
I was a bit delirious from the car ride/no coffee, plus it was gray and foggy, but we ended up having an AMAZING session together! We talked about Alexandria, where they live currently and where I used to live before moving to North Carolina. We laughed over silly things that maybe weren't so silly, but in my crazy frame of mind were HILARIOUS. Their baby daughter Cora gave us the world's best toothy smile and laughed hysterically over the pups that walked by. We also got to use my new spring quilt for the first time! A brand-spanking new quilt by the ever so popular Melissa. If you don't know her, you're missing out ;)
