These two love to see and experience new places! For their event, Ashlyn and Kyle went with a natural elegance travel concept. We made their engagement photos at the Raleigh Rose Garden in downtown… and it was the most perfect prelude for the theme of their wedding.
Kicking off the festivities for the day, Kyle and his groomsmen started their celebration for the day at the Burnt Barrel in Youngsville, North Carolina. This is a cool bottle shop with drinks on tap and even a mini golf green! So fun! Ashlyn and her bridesmaids got ready with her mom at Cross and Main. They had hair and makeup by Tease and Blush, which looks absolutely gorgeous.
Both Ashlyn and Kyle are super close to their families, especially Ashlyn. You will see so many sweet and special familial moments in these pictures. Notably, Ashlyn’s first look with her dad. It was really sweet how he went around the room and hugged everyone there afterwards.
Another sweet family tie was Ashlyn’s second ring -it belonged to her great great grandmother and has been worn by every woman in the family on her own wedding day since then. What an amazing tradition!
The wedding day rolled along smoothly with no surprises or hiccups thanks to the brilliant organization of Chelsy at the Gathering Co. Until the end of the reception… there was a surprise to-go hot dog bar and a Hot Dog Song! What?! Yes! Some of Ashlyn and Kyle’s friends are in a band that plays a song called the Hot Dog Song. The bandmates had no idea this was going to be a thing at the wedding and everyone was so surprised in the best way! It was amazing!
